Love to the Library!

If you know me you know how much I love my library! 
It's full of so many amazing resources and free for the taking (or borrowing in this case)!
Here's a few of my favorite...
1. The obvious one is books but did you know that if you have an e-reader like an iPad or kindle they have books you can upload from there website! So that's more than free because you don't even have to drive there! One thing that I love doing as well is reserving online, they will email you when your books are ready to pick up and then put them on the hold shelf. It's great when you have little ones because you can be in and out in no time :)
2. CDs would be next on my list. Love getting new music!
3. Story and playtime, I discovered this while I was waiting in line to get my free admission to the Minnesota Zoo (that's next) . Did you know that most libraries offer free story time for different age groups and classes for all ages. One I found include Facebook 101. I have found story time to be amazing! It's been a great way to connect with other moms, get some great socialization for LP and one of the best parts is that it's drop in so  no worries if the little bugger just isn't cooperating. 
4. Here comes the (almost) free trip to the Minnesota Zoo. If you haven't heard theres a program called the Museum Adventure Pass. It's sponsored by Macy's and from what I found they have them at all the Ramsey & Hennepin county libraries. They offer two free admissions for 18 different museums in the metro! As far as the passes for the MN zoo get, to the library early because there's usually people waiting. The pass give you two free admissions- ($36 to the zoo) but the not so free part is you still have to pay $5 for parking. This is an amazing deal! I went with my mom and LP, we packed lunches and spent less than $10 total! Talk about a great day!

Hello and welcome to Minnesota Motherhood!

This is my first (and hopefully not my last) attempt to blog and become a staple in your daily reading routine! I am hoping to bring Minnesota Moms together and give you some great ideas on activities for your family on a budget as well as healthy cooking recipes and shopping deals!

I have a beautiful 7 month old son to whom I will refer to as LP. A wonderful husband and two loud dachshunds!
